Hey Los Angeles Stampers,

You might find this of interest...

The Los Angeles Art and Technology Hacker Club will be meeting at
c-level this Sunday May 4th at 7pm.

Schedule:

1) Casual chatting while waiting for stragglers

2) Meeting announcements+workshop planning.

3) Lara Bank will show two basic stamp pieces, "loop" and "true". Two
circuits interact: a mic sensor and a recorded message, "forever".
They form a loop: once started by a sound, the mic is triggered and
is picked up by a programmed microcontroller which turns on the
recorded message. This message is heard by the mic triggering it
again, creating a loop. An LCD displays "forever" when mic is
triggered. http://www.runwhiletrue.com

4) Tom Jennings will show some stuff from his ever expanding Story
Teller installation, a paper tape reader and another that controls a
50-year-old calculator and an old analog pen plotter, and uses lots
of high voltage, solenoids, steppers and other weirdness.
