Hi,
Is it possible to hook up an RF reciever directly to the input of a SSC or do
I need a stamp to receive the data first then pass it on to the SSC ?

You definitely can connect an RF receivers output directly to the Mini SSC II
for remote servo control. Just send data inverted since the SSC-II expects it
inverted.
It's a little more stable if you have a Stamp screening the incoming data, but
not
absolutely necessary. The Stamp can sort through any noise or junk before
sending
servo control data to the SSC-II. Direct, you may see unexpected servo movements
on occasion due to noise pulses.
You can remotely control the SSC-II with IR as well.
