i need to integrate a keypad (Grayhill, 96 series) into a BS2, but i don't have
an encoder, nor any chips that could implement an encoder. is there any
possible way to encode it via BS2 programming? I have the keypad connected to
INL. thanks

Yes, it's possible. Skim through the Nuts & Volts articles on our web site
