I need your Support in referent to system that i don''t know

1 I have no Idea what type of ball is required are there exact specs or can
it be something like a plastic Easter egg ( but round )
2 To communicate with serial I would use a small pic with 40khz HPWM and
send serial data using IR data maybe a 3 digit number
3 and 4
I have never worked with Bar code at this point, and I thought you first
said in or on a ball.
These were just Ideas! I have no Idea of the number of balls, size, type,
or if color on the outside would matter.
As for another idea maybe you could put tinfoil on two sides and make a
resistance between them and use RCtime command and read different
resistances.
