Vin for BS2-IC

I'm building a unit using the BS2-IC. The unit will have a +/- 18 volt supply.
Is this voltage ok to apply to the Vin of the BS2-IC or should I put a regulator
in the circuit to reduce the voltage?Larry KB0BMP
