"9v" ac adapter important

It is extremely important to note that the board desires ONLY DC
Voltage, not ac Voltage. Applying ac Voltage to the board will kill it
dead dead dead. Though I saw no mention of an ac adapter/wall wart in
the discussion, the subject line got my attention.
All the best!!

The Homework board has an SO-8 surface mount LM2936M-5
+5V regulator that can easily handle +9-12V input. Just be sure
not to exceed the 50mA MAX regulated output current limit.
