Custom metal bracket - where do I find one?

Thought somebody could help me out. I have a little project whereas I
need to attache a circuit board that I made to a decora insert. My
little circuit board has some buttons on it a BS2 and a few other
components. I need the decora insert to be metal and stamped out for
the button assemblies to poke through. Does anybody know where I
might find somebody to stamp out a few metal decora inserts that I
will need? I have a AutoCad drawing of my decora style insert that I
will need.

Hi,
The stamping will be cheap, the tooling for doing the stamping will be
expensive.
Try www.frontpanelexpress.com They make
engraved front panels in small
numbers cheap.

Cool! However, as is typical, they don't give any idea
on their website of cost. What is 'cheap'?
Typical panel $10.00? $20.00? $100.00?
Before I go to the trouble of downloading their
Designer, building a Design, and only then finding
out it's $1,000.00, what is the cost of a 'typical'
panel from them? (for example, 3 buttons, 3 led's,
power switch).
Thanks, AllanL

I'm not sure how thick the decora insert is, but if its pretty thin,
you might be able to cut it with a laser. Try a laser engraving shop,
if there's one near you, or www.leachlaser.com - they mostly do
engraving, but can do cutouts if the material is thin enough. Can
engrave it at the same time! Tell them Jeff sent you...

cheers,
Jeff

Download the software, create the panel with their simple cad system and it
will give exact cost including shipping for any qty you want.

Yes, but you miss my point.
I'm trying to get some idea of how much
it costs, WITHOUT spending the time
to actually go through it all.

All I want is a ball-park amount -- like
"around $100 a panel". Is that correct?

($40.00 to $200, depending on complexity).

Now, why wouldn't they put a link on their 'home' page to
that? And why would they 'hide' it under Materials/examples?

Oh, well, there's my answer, anyway. Thanks. AllanL.
