Hello,

What does someone recommend that I start with. I want to buy the
boards and then the parts for a robot similar to the boe-bot.

Any help would be appreciated.

Juan

You might try the Tab Robot. They have two models,
a "Build Your Own Robot Kit" for around $50.00, which
you then can add a Stamp2 to for programming. It
provides a programmed PIC which simplifies the programming
interface to the motors and IR sensors.

The second model is the Tab 'Sumobot'. It comes with
an OEM Stamp 2 on board, so you can program it out of
the box. Around $100.00, with deep discounts. You
can look at their Yahoo Group on 'Tabrobot' for more
    info.

These are both IR remote (supplied) controlled robots,
which are programmed using the Parallax tools. They
have small prototyping areas for adding small circuits.
Highly recommended for low price, having many features,
    and good performance.

    Hello,
Thanks for the input and I am going to look into the
bots you talked about. I should get the kits on
Monday April 14, so I am just a beginner with the
stamp II. I am taking classes in Digital and this
    seems like a good project.
    Sincerely,
    Juan Rivera, Jr.

You probably only need one Bot to start with...
I'd recommend the Sumo, as being more complete.
