integrating with macromedia director

hello

can anyone help with information reagrding integrating basic stamp
with macromedia director

im afraid i am new to this basic stamp thing as of today so need to
be treated like a baby

if anyone has any director files that i could pull apart along with
the coding for the stamp i would be extremely greatful

i want to use the basic stamp with a simple proximity sensor to
control the speed a video plays in director. is it simple??

can anyone tell me which stamp i should purchase for this process
parallax mentioned something about baud rate in determing which stamp
is most suitable

what is "baud rate"??

is it like the data rate transfer??
