X-10/bs2sx

Ok, I am using the BS2SX module along with the X-10 PL513 interface to send X-10
signals. I have the Activity Board which has the RJ-11 phone jack already on
the board. When I use the stamp in this manner, it sends the X-10 signals
fine...the light blinks on the PL513 and the command is carried out. When I
take the BS2SX off of the board and manually wire it up, and I bought a lil
phone jack(4-pin) and wired it up, it sends the signal, or at least the light
blink on the PL513 like it does when the IC is on the board, but the commands
are never carried out. It works fine with the RJ-11 jack on the board...lights
on/off, etc. But it's not working properly when I take the IC off of the board.
Could someone help me out with this problem?

Are you *sure* have the zero-crossing and data pins wired correctly (ie:
    not reversed) ?

Are you plugging the PL513 into the same outlet as before after you have
    wired it up manually?

If everything is working normally on your board, then you remove the devices
to your home built board, chances are there is something not wired correctly,
even though you have probably checked, double checked and triple checked the
    layout.
I know that is now what you wanted to hear, but that is the likely reality. I
have done it several times myself.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure. I tried the different wirings and I also changed my
code around just to see if it would send. I'm not using the same outlet.
There's an outlet built into the activity board that I use, it works
properly when I put the stamp into the board. What doesn't work is the
outlet that I got from Radio Shack. I take the stamp off of the activity
board and wire it up manually, then I wire this new outlet to the stamp The
PL513 light blinks, like it normally does when sending a signal...but for
some reason I noticed it blinks twice on each signal sent, but it does
blink. The other outlet is already prewired to the board, and it works
fine. Can anyone tell me what the problem may be?
