I have a couple of stamps I used years ago and just pulled them out
for a new project . Back then the software was dos only.
I recently discovered the bs2 software for windows and would like to
know if there is a windows program for Basic stamp 1.

I believe the only software they have for the
BS1 is Parallel Port driven, and DOS only.
    (as of 3/31/03, anyway)

Although DOS only, it still runs well in a DOS window.

    Hi,

Allan is correct, currently only the DOS software is available for the
    BS1.

I can tell you though that we are solving this problem soon. After the
current major changes to the Stamp Editor are done (PBASIC Tokenizer and
editor) we will be adding BS1 support and releasing another new version
    as soon as possible.

I know you are all curious, but please refrain from flooding the Stamps
list or our tech support with emails asking for more details about this.
We will definitely post a message to this list as soon as it is
    available.

    Thank you.

True, but in our current business plan to port to Windows. That said, it's
very tricky with all the flavors of windows and access to ports. We have a
plan though, since the BS1 is still fairly popular, despite being the "old
    man" of BASIC Stamps.

Thank you for your reply ,
I'll need to use the DOS to solve this one looking foward to the ease of
    windows in the future.
