Hi All

Influence from Static Electricity on the inputs, has any one had
experiences?
I am using Hall Effect switches, could it be the switch are extremely
vulnerable to static.?
Any One Please.

    Are you killing pins?

No The staic sparks are not even directed to the pins, just to the mounting
plate and the mount is not even connected to the power supply. I have not
had any failures.just units are changing states.

I have used many Hall Effect devices and have yet to blow one from static or
any other means. So the answer to your question is that they are no more
sensitive than any other semiconductor. Of course enough of a static
discharge can blow any semiconductor device. Infact a Hall effect device
should be better since no direct contact needs to be made to the device.
Unlike a mechanical switch that must be contacted to work!
