Connecting with XP

I am trying to connect to my BS1 with XP on a laptop. If I move the cable
to my Win 95 laptop, it works fine.
Any suggestions?

Use the WIN95 laptop.
Sorry, I could not resist.

serial port?
I had the same problem and it was not XP but the USB to Serial Adapter. I
tried 3 types (Belikn is the only one I remember). They did not have the
right Drivers. They are now residing in the local landfill in many little
pieces.
My laptop started with Win ME and I had to upgrade to XP.
I am using a Keyspan USA-19W and it works with all the Stamps and the new 2.5
software. It cost $49 (or $59), but it is worth it if it works.
The geniuses who make laptops assumed that when they switched to USB and
deleted the serial port, that all the old serial stuff in the whole world
would magically convert to USB!

BS-1. I haven't used one of them in 5 years and do not know about any issues
with them.
