stamp used to control relays in my car

I am using a BS2 to control my car-puter and sunroof thru relays.
Everytime my roof is done closing, the stamp resets, and kills the
power to the computer. Any ideas?

If you monitor the voltage to the stamp, it most likely is dropping out for
a short time, causing the reset but it could also be that there is some
counter emf being generated from motors or relay coils, also causing reset.
Probably this happens when the relay is de-activated. For an example of the
way to control these things with a stamp and not have problems caused by
external devices, check out my web site.

driven by a 2N2222 transistor to switch power to my motor control board.
Running motors, sensors, servos, etc... were no problem, but a tiny relay
caused a reset every time. I added a 1000 uf filter cap to the 5-volt line
and all is well. I suspect a weak pull-up on the reset line will help also,
but I will have to wait until I remove the board again to find out.

Hey, its me.......I doubt you are losing voltage to the stamp since you are
using the car battery. I will email you later with how to use an opto
isolater. This is going on the assumption it is a "noise spike" causing the
problem.

to protect the stamp. If you are using relays, you can connect a diode
across the relay coil with cathode to the plus side and anode to the ground
side. A 1N4000 diode is ok for this.

What part of your website should I look at?
