We're offering a savings of $15 OFF the BS2 OEM Kit (#27291) from now
through midnight on Sunday for online orders only.
The BS2 OEM Kit is a great low cost approach to develop your project
ideas and to learn how to work with a new BASIC Stamp format. Often
times, the OEM version is used as a prototyping tool to prepare for
building a BASIC Stamp on your own board in large production runs.
The OEM Kit requires soldering but is very easy to assemble. Be sure to
follow the included OEM documentation very carefully during assembly.
This version has the same features as the regular 24-pin BASIC Stamp 2
and is programmed with the same BASIC Stamp Windows Editor. Once
assembled, the DB-9 connector allows you to build the project with a
Jameco breadboard, so you aren't required to purchase a Parallax carrier
board (although they are certainly a good option).
Replacement of the PBASIC interpreter and EEPROM is very easy with all
OEM products since the OEM components may be purchased individually.
