two LCD''s, DATA sent with transcivers

Hello All,
I am stummped agian but having fun. I am trying to have to
LCD's "talk" that is send packets from one transciver to the other.
For example one would send "Today is?" and the other responds
with "Monday" and then asks a question and the other responds...
I am using two 433.92 MHz Transceiver (SIP/solid/raw) with not much
documentation, purchased from Parallax part #27997.
Has anyone work with these?
I can get a simple TX and RX and chracters to display (along with
unwanted charcters)on the LCD. But can't get an acknowlegment.
