Stamp student needs help with homework

I need an idea for a simple project I can build with this stamp
board, if anyone has any ideas or suggestions I could use the help.

    How about a simple timer project. An example would be the one I built to
    remind neighborhood patrol base radio operators to check up on patrollers
    every so often. Switches determine if the time intervals are 15 minutes, 30
    minutes or one hour. When the unit is turned on, it begins counting down and
    shows the minutes and seconds remaining on a one-line LCD. When it reaches
    the end of the countdown, it beeps and starts over.
