Liquid turbine

Hi,

I would like to find some very small turbine to measure small amount of liquid
passing through
pipes . For example : diesel supplying an engine and return to the tank or water
going to a
water osmosis system and the outlet, etc... The material should support low
pressure and be
resistant to some chemical. The information will be worked out with a BASIC
STAMP. In most
case, like in the example above, I will need of a twin turbine or two separate
one to calculate
the exact amount used. Can someone help me to find that kind of device ?

Thanks.

Jean-Pol Deloyer

Just got my Nuts and Volts magazine and it has an article about making a
water/sprinkler timer using shut-off solenoids and flow meters. I haven't
read it yet, but it might help.

    Hi,

Just a thought, but you may want to look into a small,
surplus liquid pump - vane type - that are run by DC
motors. When liguid is forced through the pump, it
will spin and the motor will generate a voltage
proportional to speed. The output voltage would need
to be calibrated against a known volume, unless your
looking for a relative reference. Just make sure that
the load doesn't affect what your measuring.
