Hacking the SiPix A6 Serial printer

Has anyone hacked the SiPix A6 serial printer? I would like to use it as a
printer in some of my projects. As near as I can tell, there is no way to
manually set the port speed and no documentation of any printer control
codes. I have done a Google search for info with no luck except 1 Zillion
reviews and/or offers to sell.

Any enlightenment will be appreciated.

TIA

Vic

If you have an oscilloscope, you can find out the pulse width. That
will tell you the speed. Then you can count the bits<G>.

    Grover,

The print speed is published in the user manual as 115KBaud so this is not a
question. The manual alludes to control codes however. It would be nice to
change the baud rate to something a bit lower tho.

    Hi there Vic:

    Arg!!

Well, if it was something that I wanted to use, I would program a
standard computer to send out each of the ascii codes slowly, and print
them to the screen. That way I could see what the beast does when the
codes come up on the screen.

As far as the baud rate, I haven't a clue<G>.

    KB4FUW (mobile 75, 40, 20, 15, 10, 2, 440, and 3 cm<G>).
