Problem with MILFORD ULTRASONIC Module

Hi there!
Has anyone experience with the Milford UltraSonic Module?
I use JAVASTAMP, and run into this problem:
I cannot retrieve a value from the Module but I can send a position (the
T command) to it and it accepts this and positions the transducer in
that direction. But it never gives back a range.
I wait for the value with byteAvail()
Any ideas?
