Hello: Has anyone used the glolab pyroelectric sensor with a stamp?

I was wondering how it compares to the Eltec sensor. The glolab one is $4
and the Eltec is $54.
I presume you get what you pay for, but the documentation on the glolab
sensor appears to say it does the same thing as the Eltec, only a bit more
external parts to implement. The glolab will give detections, but I want to
know which direction the object/person is moving, which the Eltec was
supposedly good for. I never really found out as I burned mine out before
much testing was done. Ugg :(
I hate to spend another $54 for an Eltect, if I do not have too.
Very respectfully, your obedient servant.
