Digital Servos??

Hello Group,

I am working on a BS2 controlled piece of kinetic art and will be using
servos for the first time. I have found information on the mods required
for continuous rotation but not much in the way of a description of a
digital servo. Can you tell me the difference between analog and digital
servos? Is it a matter of more precision control, or position feedback?
These are only my guesses as I look forward to servo fun.

Sorry, I should clarify that I am speaking of hobby or R/C style servos and
not the larger industrial type at this time.

Both types expect the same PWM signal to drive them. The difference
is internal to the servo and how frequently the motor position is
updated.
