Anyone know where I can find a data sheet on a ta7259p? Did a google search and
looked on
the Toshiba website and could not find.

I also need data on a Toshiba part TA7179P. Their web site is essentially
useless. Have you tried to cross it to an NTE part number?. I often do that
to get a rough idea of function, pin out and electrical specs.

I did a little search on yahoo. It appears that the device is
obsolete. However, national semiconductor has a replacement device,
which is also obsolete. Here is the datasheet on that:

Is this the right device?

Actually I forgot that a cross on the NTE chip cross reference might be
possible. After
your suggestion however, I did take a look but found nothing. What is the
Electronics
world coming to? I went directly to the Toshiba website and did a search for
that part
number with no result, unless you consider, "part not found" a result. However,

many years ago but we kept a large library of technical books, maybe they
can help.

Thanks Larry,

I have found several places I can buy them, but I can't find a data sheet..
Appreciate
your looking though !! Actually I have one already, I wanted to hook it up to
the stamp
for fun but I doubt for profit [noparse]:)[/noparse] I took it out of an HP LASER JET III printer
I scraped
last week. Also took out the laser, kinda neat but I am afraid it Infra red..

ok here is toshiba's data sheet site i just downloaded
the pdf for the td7259p motor driver chip
the other one is on there to everone might want to
save this because i had to dig thrue a couple of pages
of japanese to find it.

also provided info on other part numbers from the company. Those of you that
did not pick
