Parallax Offers Memsic 2125 Accelerometer

Dear Friends,
Through a partnership with Memsic (www.memsic.com) we are now offering the 2125
dual-axis accelerometer mounted in a DIP format for $25. The Memsic 2125
measures dynamic acceleration and static acceleration (gravity) with a range of
±2 g. Some of the features of this component:
o Measure 0 to ±2 g on either axis; less than 1 mg resolution
o Fully temperature compensated over 0° to 70° C range
o Simple, pulse output of g-force for X and Y axis
o Analog output of temperature (TOut pin)
o Low current operation: less than 4 mA at 5 vdc
A sampling of possible BASIC Stamp applications with the Memsic 2125 include:
o Dual-axis tilt sensing for autonomous robotics applications
o Single-axis rotational position sensing
o Movement/Lack-of-movement sensing for alarm systems
o R/C hobby projects such as autopilots
