Need help from industrial BasicStamp users

I want to talk with a few people who use BasicStamps in industrial
systems. If you use BasicStamps to control thing like pumps,
actuators, motors, solenoids, etc., and measure sensor outputs,
on/off signals, control settings, and so on, and can explain what you
do, please contact me. I'm writing an article for a large industrial
magazine about the use of microcontrollers and seek to talk with
people who will comment on what they do, how easy it was to get
started, and what alternatives they considered or what they replaced
with a microcontroller. You can talk "on the record" or "off the
record," but I prefer the former. Anyone quoted has the opportunity
to review quotes prior to publication.
I now work as a freelance editor, but worked previously as the chief
editor of EDN and Test & Measurement World magazines. I've written
books about computers and have been educating people about computers
and electronics since the mid '70s. (I'm a writer/educator, not a
tabloid reporter!) You can find some of my recent articles at
www.tmworld.com. Search the Article Archives for "titus," without
the quotes. Or, search the Web for "titus" and "Mark 8"
Thanks.

I've enjoyed your lead-in column in EDN.
I use BASIC Stamps for my work in data logging and control. I have my
own company in Berkeley CA, which I started after receiving a degree
in Engineering Physics and a Phd in biophysics at the big U. here.
In addition to products I make that use the BASIC Stamp
micro-controller, I have become friendly with the folks at Parallax
and have written "Earth Measurements" curriculum for their
"Stamps-in-Class" educational program. Parallax is a great company
to do business with.
Many of my customers are university or government scientists doing
work in hydrology, or in light measurement, or in fields that fall
under the heading of micro-meteorology. My web site is
<http://www.owlogic.com>.
Please contact me if you would like to talk further about the subject
of your article.

Can you post where/how we (Stampers) can get a copy of the article
when you publish it? When will it be out?
