How much better ?.
Twice as fast than BS2 ?.
I usually need a bit more than ram inside the Basic Stamp. And i've
been trying too make a Palm look a like aplication, for demostration
(using bitmaps on a 128x128 pixels screen), and could not get an
reasonable performance for it with BS2.
Using an PIC16F877 finally i did it. But time and effort for that
task, using PIC assembler, was too much.
However, without a release date i cant wait for it.
But i really expect to see some tips about this next generation of
basic stamps.
Thanks for your answer,

Comments
a version that will fit the 24-pin BS2 socket (for retrofitting), it is
several times faster than the BS2p (our fastest) and the PBASIC language has
undergone a very cool upgrade (beyond the PBASIC 2.5 compiler that we're
releasing this month).
That's all I can tell you except to say I've seen early prototypes running
and they are amazing. I was a BASIC Stamp user/customer for seven years
before my employment and even I am goofy with excitement over this new dude.
