Hi,

I was lucky?? to get some surplus parts and
am having a hard time finding any data on
a particular unit.

it is labeled GE C458, followed by a diode symbol
of some sort. the bar extends out and away from
the shape on one side only.

It is similar to a D0-5 package, but is much larger.

The body meausures 7/8 inch diameter.
And the unit is almost 2 3/8 inches long.

Any ideas ??

www.findchips offered some matches but no
links that offered any data.

Dave

Sounds like a high voltage Focus rectifier common in Color TVs in the 1980s
and 1990s. You should be able to find the part number you mentioned in the
NTE or ECG cross reference guide. Or on their web sites.
