Will there be a new version of the Tokenizer library with the
enhancements of PBasic 2.5?

Yes, I am on a FIRST team in Nashua, NH (Team 811) and like the other
800 FIRST robotics teams, we need the PBasic 2.5 Tokenizer.

I suppose the other route would be to convert the PBasic 2.5 syntax in
the default program (given us) to PBasic 2.0 syntax. I will try to
figure this out, but is there any sort of document that describes how
one might translate to the other?

(or at least a document that describes PBasic 2.5 syntax so that I can
understand precicely what the code is doing)

Thanks,
-Quentin

Adrian,

We're expecting PBASIC 2.5 to be available at the end of January/beginning of
February.
It will be posted on our web site as soon as it's available.
Thanks for your patience.

Sincerely,

Yes, once we've fully tested everything.

Hi Jon,

I'm the author of MacBS2, a (the only?) Mac OS X IDE for the BS2.

I'm wondering whether the API for the new tokenizer will be different
than the existing one?

Regards,

_murat

No, I don't believe so. I sent a message into our Engineering group [I work
remotely] and haven't received any note contrary to my belief. If the API
changes, of course we will provide documentation when we release the new
tokenizer module.
