Help in DS1602

Hi, Group. In order to set the oscillator trim bits for DS1602.(The
protocol of DS1602 as follow.) But how can I shift_in a word
contained the letters? Plese help!!! Thanks

A B C represent the oscillator trim value 000-111 (Bits 5, 4, and
3). A value of 011 will give accuracy of +/- 120s per month.
Increasing the value towords 7 (111) makes the real-time clock run
faster.

the whole protocol would be something like 1 1 0 1 1 0 0 0 for the
trim value of 3 (011).
