Serial Thermal Printer

Has anyone ever connected a BS2 to a 2-inch wide serial thermal printer?
I have a need for a hard copy print out of RS232 information which consist
of only numbers (i.e. 52000.0) at 9600 baud.
I thought of hacking a small handheld calculator that prints out on paper.
Has anyone tried this?
Thanks for any help
Dick

inventory unit. small, 2 D cell battery powered. on the 'project
for when I get old' shelf.
I'll dig one out over the weekend.
It may actually be a parallel port driven unit.
These are not too uncommon in industry for things like Fluke meters
to create a hard copy of test results, and portable inventory
scanners and such.
