I am a newbie, and I need help

I found a book about BASIC programming, and i got very interested.
The book has the BASIC code for over a hundred easy programs. I would
like to know where i type in the code and get a program out. Please
help me!!

And, is that book for computer BASIC programming or for PBASIC for
the BASIC Stamp? BASIC, is a programming language used on computers,
such as QBASIC from microsoft (hard to find though anymore).

The BASIC Stamp iis a piece of hardware that run a speciallized
version of BASIC to monitor and control devices.

If you book is simply about the BASIC language for computers, this is
not the best place to be looking for answers.
