SX, E, P, & PE Downloading...

Hello,

I am making an editor for the Stamps using the Tokenizer Library
offerred by Parallax. I have it working great for a BS2, but had a
question about downloading to multiple program slots on the other
Stamps. I only have a BS2 so I can not verify how it works when
downloading to multiple program slots on any ther Stamps.

I'm guessing that it works like this:

Reset
Identify
Send Slot Number
Send Token Packets
Complete
Reset Again
Identify Again
Send Next Slot Number
Send Token Packets...

Is this correct..? Do I need to go through the whole sequence for
every program slot that is downloaded to..?

Thank you,
Jared Hoylman

    Hi Jared,

Your outline of how it works is correct. Yes, you have to go through
the whole sequence for each new download slot. I have further
information on the protocol posted at:
    <http://www.emesystems.com/BS2clone.htm>
The protocol is now open and is available for download from Parallax,
but I can't point you to exactly where to find it there. The
Identify step is actually simpler for the multibank stamps than it
    was for the original BS2.

I see I don't have the Identify codes listed yet for the BS2pe. They
are "I" for "hello" and "i" and "I" for "presente".

BTW, check out the latest version of the Stache.
    <http://www.emesystems.com/stache.htm>. Steve Parkis has now
programmed in support for the BS2pe, and put in code so that the
Stache can automatically follow the version updates. (The BS2p has
gone through 2 revisions since its introduction, and each revision
    changes the "presente" codes.)
