im using a servo running on a 5v supply. When i tried switching from the power
supply to a 6v Lithium battery . The charge drawn is huge and drains the battery
and it lasts only for one move. Please suggest any other way.. Has anyone else
faced a similar problem?..Please explain how u tackled it

I'm guessing you are using one of those camera batteries? They are
definitely NOT for servo motors. Try using a 4.8v or 6v NiCd or NiMh
battery pack. They have much higher capacities. You can get these from
hobby stores and various online retailers including http://www.digikey.com/
