9600 to 19200

I am in the process of prototyping a data logger. I am going to use
the basic stamp to do several tasks including output to a miniature
fujitsu printer. I am using the BS2p40 and have just realized that it
is incapable of sending out serial data at rates higher than 9600bps.
The fijitsu printers minimum baud is 19,200bps. Is there any way to
overcome this short coming. Or is there a periphreal IC I can buy
that will do the conversion for me.

I will not need to recieve any data from the printer. I just need my
9600bps output to be converted to 19200bps for the printer to read it.

If someone can stear me in the right direction it would be greatly
appreciated.

thanks
mike dolan

The BS2p is capable of sending [SEROUT] data at up to 115.2 K (see table 5.79
in the manual). For 19.2 k, the baudmode parameter would be 110 (assuming a
non-inverted, driven connection to your printer.

    I don't have a bs2p40 only a bs2 and it will do 19200 could
it be your talking about the debug command and not the
    Serout command
