Tracy, Pat, All,
Finally tracked down the culprit! The cap I was using to RC the LM34 had a
bum lead! As I was moving it, it snapped. When I put in a new one, Voila!
the LM34 now reads rock steady on 5V and is very close to 10mV/degree. And
now that it reads right, the math Tracy gave me works great! I am very
pleased, and thank both of you and the list for all the help. As I mentioned
before, I hope Parallax knows that the real reason to use Stamps is this
forum! Well, off to soak in my tub, which is precisely at my preferred
temperature!
