J1587 Protocol - Vehicle Speed and Distance

Hi all....

I am writing an application that would read the J1587 data output
across a datalink on a vehicle. I would like my BS2 to then read some
of the parameters and compare on a real time basis.

I haven't he foggiest idea what is needed to do this so if anyone has
any ideas I'd sure appreciate it ?

When you figure it out let me know, I too have thought about doing a similar
task from the OBD-II connector
