BS2 and WinXP
Archiver

Hi,
I have a BS2 which I have been programming with my desktop/WinMe
without problems.
I recently purchased a Dell laptop running winXp. I find I can
tokenize the stamp but the program will not start unless I remove the
serial cable from the carrier board. This does not happen with my
desktop.
I have the latest 1.33 editor.
Any thoughts appreciated.
Thanks,
RH

As far as I know, the carrier board makes a straight connection
between from DTR to ATN. If DTR is kept low (or high, whatever) the
stamp remains in attention state and wil not run the program.
You can try the circuit below (the resistor is optional), I think it
should help.
I had to use dots for blanks as the sucky system removes them after
posting.
