control characters in macros

Hi,
I need to send control characters (ascii values 0-31) as well as printable
characters out of COM1.
Is this possible using the stamp editors debug windows using macros?
Under preferences->debug appearance the option 'make control characters
visible'
Is grayed out (latest editor). If it is not possible does anyone know of a
terminal program
that can send and receive at E71 9600 baud, both control chars and printable
chars and that allows to disable RTS/CTS handshaking, i.e operate without
flow control?
Regards peter

I have used KEA to control Stamps in the past and it is quite
powerful. It comes with it's own macro language which can be used to
customize your PC terminal window into a front-end to the Stamp. I have used
it to open files on the hard drive of the PC and send the characters out the
COM port to control the Stamp. And yes it can send control and printable
chars, and allows disabling of handshaking. Not sure the cost and where it
is available. I have used KEA 420 ver 5.1 as the latest.
hope this helps,
Harvey

Thanks for the link.
I already found another program called comtest.
It is found at http://www.bb-elec.com
For those interested:
Click support and download comtest (for windows) or simpterm (for dos).
It allows sending control characters by pressing ALT and typing 3 digits
representing the control code. You can also control DTR and RTS settings
and it is free!
