DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS
Design based on Northwest Robot Mini-Sumo Tournament Rules
Fits within a 10 cm x 10 cm square
Weighs less than 500 grams
ELECTRONICS
The electronics consists of a surface-mounted BASIC Stamp 2 and infrared sensors
to detect your
opponent and the edge of the Sumo Ring. The hardware package includes the black
anodized aluminum
chassis and scoop, 2 servo motors, wheels, 4AA power pack (batteries not
included) mounting
standoffs and screws. The documentation takes you from basic moves to
one-on-one combat.
RESOURCES
The 64 page manual includes 5 experiments which cover assembly, locomotion
border detection, IR
object detection, and competition code.
The BASIC Stamp manual is included on the cd-rom and we offer 6 free source code
files written by
Jon Williams at the link below.
