Checked the eagle site but didn't see one. Anyone know if there is
one around somewhere?

What exactly do you mean? Do you mean a parts library which contains a 24 pin
standard dip which is what a bs2 is, or a 40 pin standard dip which the bs240
is? Eagle contains both of these.

I did not find one. I just made my own. It is a piece of cake with
    Eagle.

However, it is really short on prettiness and documentation. I would be
happy to share, if there is anybody who volunteers to make it nice and
documented. Maybe the Parallax gurus will post it on their page for the
    good of the masses.

I wonder why they did not do it yet. They must have a good one. It would
greatly increase our productivity and we would buy much more STAMPS from
    them... ;-))) Hahooooo! ... $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Also, I bet there are a bunch of us with good stamp based designs to
share. Maybe the Parallax guys can set up a page where the Eagle boards
and schematics are posted. (maybe with the proper 10 pages of layer
scribble to fend of any kind of liability?)

    Hi,

    I made a Basic Stamp library for Eagle 4.01. I don't know if it's
compatible with the newer versions of Eagle.
It's in the 'Files' directory of the Basic Stamp Yahoo group (search
    for Phil.lbr)
This should be beter than a standard 24-pin or 40-pin IC socket... ;-)
If you can't get it, let me know, I'll sent it to your private mail.

    Phil.

There are few versions on the FAQ at http://www.wd5gnr.com/stampfaq.htm

Sure, Eagle contains the standard dips, but I like to have the proper
chip specific labeling on the pins when using the editor. It saves time,
    it makes the design readable.
