USB to Serial Adapter - Programs the Stamp but doesn''t work ?

This is exactly the reason I decided to make my own adapter in the end.

All of these adapters from Belkin, Keyspan, etc. never seem to be 100%
compatible, and I was starting to get so annoued that I thought "Stuff it!
I'll make my own."

I've tested mine OK on:
Programming the BS2
Communicating with the BS2 during runtime
Using an RS232 modem for surfing the web
Communicating with a Palm Pilot
