searching old posts ( was Re: basicstamps newb

Hi Bob,

you can go on-line to the list and search for any keywords in old
posts.

remember that yahoo only posts the last few hundred pages for a search.
you will need to hit the 'next' button to continue the search.

this is one of the reasons so many keep asking for the subject line to
be on topic of the post, even if the topic changes as the responses
veer off the main topic.

There is a LOT of GREAT stuff in the old posts and they go to message
#1. Typically you will find a thread that addresses your point and can
read the whole thread by hitting the up-thread button of the response.

and in addition, you get to see a lot of neat stuff you might otherwise
miss.
