basicstamps newb
Archiver

Almost about 7 years ago I started to program with the 16c54 to 16c57 chips I
bought the programmer and
downloader. However I had some major heart problems and whole project sat
unused. Now I am interested in getting
involved again. I think the basic stamp 2 is the way to go as I have forgotten
everything I knew about
programming the PIC chips.
If any one has a use or is interested in the old PIC programmer or downloader I
have please contact me off list
about it.
Next due to being on disability and a fixed income Is there any place I can buy
something like the BASIC Stamp 2
OEM Module (kit form) for less? OR is there some thing better to start with? I
have soldering equipment and
experience so putting some thing together is no problem.
Any help here would be very helpful. Is there any other lists for the new-b to
go to get info?

Actually Robert, you've found a good list for those sorts of questions.
Now as to the questions of trying to find an OEM Stamp, at lower prices,
good question. What places have you checked?

an old often answered question?
If so how does one get to it?
Bob
First, if you go to http://groups.yahoo.com and find the basicstamps
list you can search the archive there. That goes back awhile now,
although the list is older than that archive.
Second, be sure to have a look at the unoffical Basic Stamp FAQ:
