INTRODUCING THE GREAT AMERICA OIL EMBARGO..... Every time you fill up
the car, you can avoid putting more money into the coffers of Saudi
Arabia.
Just buy from gas companies that don't import their oil from the Saudis.
Nothing is more frustrating than the feeling that every time I fill-up
the tank, I am sending my money to people who are trying to kill me, my
family, and my friends. I thought it might be interesting for you to
know which oil companies are the best to buy gas from. Major companies
that import Middle Eastern oil (for the period 9/1/00 -8/31/01).
Shell . . . . . . . . . . . 205,742,000 barrels
Chevron/Texaco . . . 144,332,000 barrels
Exxon/Mobil . . . . . 130,082,000 barrels
Marathon . . . . . . . . 117,740,000 barrels
Amoco . . . . . . . . . . .62,231,000 barrels
If you do the math at $30/barrel, these imports amount to over $18
BILLION! Here are some large companies that do not import Middle Eastern
oil:
Citgo . . . . . . . . 0 barrels
Sunoco . . . . . . 0 barrels
Conoco . . . . . . 0 barrels
Sinclair . . . . . . 0 barrels
BP/Phillips . . . .0 barrels
All of this information is available from the Department of Energy and
can be easily documented. Refineries located in the U.S. are required to
state where they get their oil and how much they are importing. They
report on a monthly basis.
Keep this list in your car; share it with friends.
We need to stop paying for terrorism.
I am sending this note to lots of people. If each of you send it to at
least 10 more and those 10 send it to at least 10 more and so on, by the
time the message reaches the sixth iteration, we will have reached over
one million consumers. Acting together we can make a difference. If this
makes sense to you, please pass this message on, or one you compose, to
at least 10 more E-mail addresses.
If you're not outraged, you're not paying attention.

Nothing is more frustrating than people forwarding stupid things to mail
lists, especially when they are totally off-topic. FYI -- www.snopes2.com is
a great source for debunking those emails your friends forward you.

I'm outraged, but I wasn't paying attention... WHAT has this got to do with
Stamps???
I read it in the slight possibility it might actually have something to do
with the Parallax Basic Stamp. Did I miss the point somewhere? Has
Parallax now moved in to Petroleum Distribution with Stamp based Petrol
pumps?

business there ... so who knows?
But, this kind of list abuse is causing us to consider private, moderated
lists again with the very real possibility that spammers will be summarily
removed without a lot of discussion. Let's stick to Stamps, shall we?

I guess a lot of Stamp enthusiasts wont bother pulling their head out of
the sand until the building they are in falls after being hit or the bus
they ride explodes.
Thanks again

required to put "OFFTOPIC" in the
subject line. Then all the readers who do not want to see other then Stamp
stuff just add a filter and send it to
the trash folder. If some one sends more then so many OFFTOPIC posts a week to
the list or does not add the
"OFFTOPIC" then admin can kick them off after a warning.
I also consider long signature blocks added to the posts kind of like spamming.
Just put your comment and name and
end it.
