I/O Gear USB to Serial Question

I several post earlier on the list regarding the I/O gear USB to
serial adapter. Did anyone get it to work? I have the same symptom
and would really like to get things going on my usb only sony
picturebook laptop.

If so what do you do to fix the issue?

If not, did you resolve the issue with another product.

Hi Dave,

I may have missed your original post on this subject, but I have recently
made my own USB to RS232 adapter, that works perfectly under Windows 98 and
Macintosh.

It's easy to build, the url is: http://www.lennard.net.nz/ click on circuit
ideas, then USB, then USB to RS232.

I have tried 10 different USB to serial adapters and have only found ONE that
works with the STAMP. It is the older style Belkin unit that no one (except
Belkin) seems to carry anymore! I finally ordered from CDW or Belkin direct.
I don't remember the exact model number but if you still need that info, send
an E-mail and I will look it up.
