Good Day Everyone, This is off topic I know, but maybe others need to know too. I need to put a clamping diode across a solenoid coil to protect the drive electronics from the turn-off voltage spike. My question is: Can I use a general purpose diode here, as long as conditions don't exceed the diodes ratings? I'm thinking…
