Greetings!

Usually, the PSU's are designed with a bit of 'spare capacity' concerning
the machine they're to be used with, so the older one should provide enough
power IF you don't use really powerhungry PCMCIA cards and play music CD's
in it all the time...

It may be a good idea to make certain that the battery is fully charged
beforehand, though, so that the recharge circuitry doesn't draw any power.

You know, you could make it Stamp related (sort of) by saying that you use
it to run the Stamp Editor on...

:-)

this!

Sorry for using this forum for a non-STAMP related question, but I
know that you can help! I just got a new laptop from work (an IMB
Tinkpad T23). I want to keep the AC Power Adapter at work and have
one at home. I have an old AC Power Adapter from a Thinkpad that I
had a few years ago. They look similar, but not identical. The plug
that fits in the computer is the same as the new one. On the old AC
Adapter, the specs are Output of 16 volts at 3.36 amps. The new AC
adapter that came with the new laptop indicates 16 volts at 4.5 amps.

Do you think it is o.k. to use the AC Adapter that is rated 1.14 amps
lower than the one supplied?

Thanks for your help on this one... see, I told you you guys would be
able to answer this for me!

Steve
