I just got a couple PakV's from AWC and notice that they have two PWM modes,
equal and proportional. I am planning to use them to control the speed of fans.
I have very little experience with PWM and I'm not sure which PWM mode to use.
And once again any help is appreciated! On with my project...

Proportional has a varying frequency. Equal area has a constant
frequency. If you vary the frequency on some motors, they will "whine"
at certain frequencies, so if you have a constant frequency, hopefully
it won't be one that makes the motors noisy. However, proporitional is
best when you are, say, charging a capacitor since it reacts quickly.
