Go on the parallax site www.parallax.com and you can download the stamp
manuals and then go to stamps in class for lessons on the different features
and instructions. They do an excellent job in providing training materials
and whats even better they are free!!! Once you learn from those there are
excellent book on the stams.. Welcome to the best site on the net for
    electronic education

You can download the Stamps In Class documentation free from Parallax and
    study the materials yourself.

Whats your point? I learned all my Stamp stuff, as well as OOPic and AVR
from documents I downloaded -- never attended a class. All it takes is a bit
    of effort.

The classes are part of the printed training materials. They're quite
    good.

could you please help this girl in doing project .

    The project is abt

"convert a count value to a pattern for a seven sement display .and convert an
anlogue to digital convertor from a temperature sensor(DS1620) to the actual
temperture .Create text strings for display on LCD".

I tried the program by making A/D(taking analogue signals from DS1620 and
converting to digital) conversion in pic16f876 but i dont know what's wrong but
unfortunately it is not working.I got a doubt here that wheather A/D conversion
actually happens in DS1620 or should i have to do in pic16f876.

If u dont mind could you please send me the code for that program (if not
    atleast subroutines
for that).I would be great full to you if you help me in finishing my project
    successfully.

Thanking you and eagerly waiting for your reply.

Go to our web site and download our book StampWorks. It will help you with
your project. It has chapters on interfacing to LCDs and using the DS1620.

You might find helpful information at these two URLs, in addition to

The A/D conversion does in fact happen within the DS1620. With the
BASIC Stamp, you read the temperature digigally using the SHIFTIN
command. If you are using the pic16c876, you will have to do that
either in assembly language or by using one of the available higher
    level languages.
