moror stall

I am using a BS2 to run 2 12v motors thru a moror driver chip.

The robot runs fine on a hard floor but stalls and then will start forward
again while running on a rug.

Is it possible the stall is being caused by friction on the rug to slow the
motor and this affects the motor driver chip and hence the stamp either thru
motor control pins on the stamp or the universal ground?

If this is the case can it be solved thru software and or
hardware(strategically placed capacitor?)? Suggestions on how to solve?

If you have time I would also appreciate an explanation of the
physics/electronics that is causing the problem.

Thanks in advance,

John Bell

    I feel like a moror; er...moron!

    Obviously it should be "motor".
